My experience started out as community projects, such as In Full Bloom: An OHSHC Fanzine. This was a zine that I led along with a specially curated moderation team. This project spanned over a year of work with interest checks, contributor applications, a creation process with check-ins, pre-orders and shipping. Heading this project provided me with a strong sense of leadership and organization skills on large-scale operations.
I then took my skills to the collegiate level, working with Virginia Commonwealth University’s Division of Student Affairs as a content creator. Here, I worked with graphics, motion design, photo and video to build engagement within the student body.
VCU is also where I got my B.F.A. in Kinetic Imaging with course work covering video art, animation, sound design, emerging media and the many combinations and extensions of these areas. My time in KI allowed me to build a cross disciplinary artistic and digital skillset whilst partnering with a variety of multi-media artists, preparing me for professional collaboration.
I also like to create visual art and video edits in my free time, as well as voice acting as a side gig (check out my most recent project!). Mixing my hobbies and interests have given me fulfillment in life!
